Going away for a time... a long time.
I’m going to be taking a trip here soon, I’ll be completely
gone from the forum and well computers in general for a month or longer. I’ve
been going through some financial problems, been unable to pay of backed up
rent to a roommate from the period of when we first moved in up until I got my
new job. He’s decided to forget about the rent I owe but I have to move out. I’ve
got nowhere to go around here, no real reason to stay, and a woman who loves me
in Texas… So, I’ve decided to
sell all my belongings, and make a trek from California
to Texas on my bicycle. This is
crazy, outrageous and probably stupid, but I feel I know what I am doing and
this just strikes me as the right thing to do. These are desperate times and
require desperate measures; I’ve never done anything with my life, certainly
nothing so defining as this. Some of you are close friends, some of you I
barely know, and the rest I’ve yet to meet. Though I figured it’d only be fair
to let you know why I’m going to disappear so completely.
Also… I’m not an idiot, I realize the risk involved in a
trip like this which is why I wish to explore my various resources, my most
important being my large network of friends across the world. I’m going to be
passing through southern California,
Arizona, and New
Mexico until I reach my final destination of Austin
Texas. I was wondering if anyone here who happens to live along the way might
be willing to give me a spot to rest for a night and restock on my expedition.
