Are you drunk? What does that have to do with custom RPGs? Why am I compelled to hit you with a nerf bat?


Now as far as my knowledge of custom RPGs... I've played Final Fantasy RPG and that allows for a lot of customizing of items and monsters.  Actually, my current D&D game is like a custom RPG since its in a world I made up.

Most RPGs allow for a reasonable amount of flexibility, after all you can always invoke Rule #0 (DM sez). If you take away the 'world view' what RPGs are really are mechanics; how to structure the world. The flavour of the game might favour one game engine over another. If you want a more realistic medeival game, you can use HARN and die of blood poisoning when you wound goes septic (twice). A different game might use WoD or d20. Its all a matter of tailoring.

I actually own a nerf bat, it's very old but still in good condition.

I have a fake katana, a bokken, a latex-foam longsword and a wooden hammer... I should get a bat.

Ah the memories of this thing... back in my day we didn't have new fangled video games, we had bats wrapped in foam that we'd beat each other with and we liked it that way.

Some of us freaks still do hit each other with foamed weapons. Boffing.. Whats more satisfying than hitting your friend with a foamed aluminium pipe/twig/plastic pipe. Personally I use dual-wield longswords.
My girlfriend/roommate uses a three headed flail wich she calls "Nutcracker" (I will let you wonder what that means.)  and a shield.
