    RP Forum Rules

    1) Follow the General Rules of the entire forum.  No spamming, flaming, trolling, etc.

    2) Try to not make OOC only posts.  It ruins the coherency of the storyline.

    3) Don't godmode, be believable*, and don't get emotionally attached.  Godmoding is as much making yourself impervious to everything as saying someones elses character did something without their permision.  Being believable is like not having your character pull weapons out of nowhere, not having infinite ammo, and not having 5 year olds who are master swordsmen.  The exception to this is through the rules of each individual RP.  If the RP doesn't have rules, be creative, but not so amazingly unbelievable as people want to shoot themselves in the face.  Also, characters die.  Live with it.

    4) PG-13 rating here.  Watch the language, and if I ever see you doing any of the more intimate stuff, you will be smitten with the almighty yarnball!

    5) Respect your RP's DM!  If you have an Idea, talk to him, don't just go ahead with it.  If your unsure of something, Ask!  This also means not to steal RPs.  If the DM doesn't come about for a month or something like that, then you can come talk to us, and even then, it is a big maybe.

    6) No duplicate threads.  One is enough.

    7) If someone says your character did something (Minus the DM of your thread), you have the right to ignore the action and act as it never happened.  DMs, don't you dare get power hungry.

    8) Keep OOC arguments OOC and IC arguments IC.  Don't turn this into a bloody drama.

    9) *Most Important Rule!* Have fun!

    10) The following spells are being restricted/dis-allowed due to either insta-death atributes or atributes that make them hard to use in a forums format that has no XP:

    Spell restrictions:

    • Earthquake: You cannot us the Open Ground and Water, Marshes, and Lakes types of this spell, as those two types are insta-death type.  However, you can still use all other types.
    • Energy Drain and Enervation: Ussually, when spells of these sort are used, some of the levels lost are not returned, however, we are in a forums formate that doesn't have such things as levels.  However, we know it drains levels, thus, your spells for the day is appropriatly lowered and your character should feel somewhat weakened during this spells duration.  Also anything and everything lost is regained at the end of the spells duration.  For the best results, however, just avoid the spell.
    • Miracles and Wishes: Considering we don’t have XP to drain for the cost of these spells, you either have to use effects that don’t take XP or be willing to give something in return, and by willing to give something in return, I mean willing to let the threads Game Master be creative and find something of fair trade for what you wish.  If you don't want that, just stick to the simpler effects.

Not Allowed:  While these spells are quite balanced for a table top game of DnD, they tend to be over powered in forums such like this thanks to certain atributes.  Thus

    • Finger of Death
    • Circle of Death
    • Destruction
    • Disintegrate
    • Power Word Kill
    • Slay Living
    • Symbol of Death
    • Wail of the Banshee
    • Any other spell that causes Insta-Death.
