: Website Confusion

Delightfully Evil
I've recently learned that one person cannot view my site, when they go to the page they say it is just blank. It works fine for me and many other people, but I, being the neurotic and paranoid dude that I am, am wondering whether other people can view my site.

Basically I'm just asking you to go there and see if you can view the site. I'm not trying to trick you into coming or anything; I'm just hoping no one else has been having the problem where they can't view it.

Thanks for your help, it is UBER appreciated.

Works fine for me. Maybe too many people were loading it at the same time as the blank screen seeing person?

G'luck with figuring that out.

workin fine from here

Works for everyone else I've been talking to too. Maybe the guy's browsers was screwed up or something...I dunno. Thanks sooooo much for checking it out though, I owe you guys.

If anyone else would check I'd be much obliged, just to make sure the rest of the world can see it.

Delightfully Evil
OK...I was checking the thread at the buzzcomix forum where this problem first came up, and now second person there can't see it. So far everyone here can see it, and two people at buzz can't.

Now I'm really confused.

HELP ME OBI WAN KENOBI YOU'RE MY ONLY HOPE!

Man I really wish I knew what was going on.

Any help/advice offered=much thanks

It's working here, looks good too :)

Move your damn <noframes> tag out of the frikkin <frameset> tag! Otherwise, people with no frames won't even see it, because it just ignores everything from <frameset> to </frameset>.

And even then, people with frames disabled usually have IFRAMEs disabled, so the default.html page doesn't work.

Delightfully Evil
I didn't design the site, and now I'm trying to find the <noframe> tag that you just said...you said it was in the main frame set...I can't find it...great timing too, my web master just quit :drunk:

whee

in your index.html..

<frameset rows="100%,*" cols="100%" framespacing="0" frameborder="no" border="0">
<frame name="RegisterSite" scrolling="auto" src="http://www11.brinkster.com/evildelight/default.html" noresize>
<noframes>
Please go to: <a href="http://www11.brinkster.com/evildelight/default.html">http://www11.brinkster.com/evildelight/default.html</a>
</noframes>
</frameset>

needs to be something like

<frameset rows="100%,*" cols="100%" framespacing="0" frameborder="no" border="0">
<frame name="RegisterSite" scrolling="auto" src="http://www11.brinkster.com/evildelight/default.html" noresize>
</frameset>
<noframes>
Please go to: <a href="http://www11.brinkster.com/evildelight/default.html">http://www11.brinkster.com/evildelight/default.html</a>
</noframes>

It's been a long time since I've worked with frames, but I think that should do it.

Delightfully Evil
Thanks man.

I think I'm going to just take the frames out...they've been nothing but a hassle.

Delightfully Evil
Alright...If anyone goes to the site now...there aren't any frames...the site is now offically under construction...should be done by Tuesday...I'll probably aks for some site crits when I'm done. Thanks for all the help.

this post was pointless...

Show me a post that isn't pointless. This one is even more pointless than yours because I'm not even contributing to the topic and I'm two days late.

Now where's my shotgun?

Hey people, My new site is done, so if you'd go there and make sure you can see it (again...I don't want anymore mishaps) I'd be much obliged.
Thanks
