Which homepage is better?

I was just wondering if you guys could tell me which home page you like better:

This one (http://www.joypadcomics.com) has a large logo (that I'm kinda of fond of). THis is also the current design.

This one (http://www.joypadcomics.com/alt.htm) has the new comic directly on the main page.

Second. It's easier to get to the latest comic.

Besides, the big picture is useing up valuable space. It's like having a splash page, except the items of interest are hidden on the same page.

You could always change the current title image into a downloadable wallpaper if you don't want to see it go.

Thank you everyone for your help. I have changed the home page (http://www.joypadcomics.com) to feature the latest comic as of now. I also made the old logo a background, so thanks again for that idea.
