: Tam et What?

Zeke
I apologize in advance for starting a new thread about this -- I'm sure it's already been discussed at some point -- but I can't find it with the Search function because "tam" and "et" are less than four letters long.

What does "Tam et Tedd" mean? The obvious thought is that the first two words are Uryuomoco, but "tam et" translates as "gun og." The gun part makes sense... is it a typo for "gun of," or what?

Ryvaken Tal`Draco
Bad translation. Gun of Tedd.

Illjwamh
That's interesting, though. If "t" is "g" in "gun," why is it "f" in "of"?

A possible typo like in "Meh, meg chog," as opposed to "meh, meg chug"?

DarkShive
Son Of A Typo!!!

Ryvaken Tal`Draco
Wait, it's been a typo all this time, throughout all the uryoumocco conversations, and you hadn't noticed?

...

Is there a commandment "Thou shalt not roll eyes at board mod!"?

DarkShive
I don't go to the Uryuomoco thread... it's huge...

Heh, exactly the reason I stayed away from it...

But you DID make the language, I'm surprised that the whole thing was a typo. O.o''

level5nerd
I assumed it meant "So much, and then Tedd."

So that's why it's now "Tam eh Tedd"...

GigaRoc
oh great and powerful uberbunnys,

Ok. The name of the storyline just started making sense...
But what has that Sarah / Obituarities topic have to do with this?

Also - do you all just use the translator?? I can translate or write Uryuomoco myself easily without too much trouble. Uc ceaqum folo.

I did check that with the translator, though.

(Glumcrugel=translator - that sounds quite cool.)

Some of us are really bad at word games like this. Some of us outright hate word games like this. Some of us have never seen the complete list of english ->Ury letters.

Some of use can't be bother translating everthing that's posted anymore, and thus ignore posts in Uryuomoco.

And Ryv, there's a complete listing of all translation rules somewhere in the Uryuomoco thread....

Ryvaken Tal`Draco
Not that I could find.

DaveK
I found one. It's on about page 3 or 4.

Huh. I wasn't expecting this thread to actually be useful. http://www.webcomic.net/forums/images/icons/icon10.gif. I figured the topic had already been dismissed one way or the other, and I just wondered what the answer had turned out to be. Well, glad to be of service, I guess.

Strapp1969
Just out of curiousity, is the 8/14 comic that mentions the storyline title going to be changed to match?

Benjamin1986
I don't know, Dan seems to be very busy, and I can't even see the comic for 10/15, so there will probably be a large delay correcting it. Though he did correct the "meh meh chug" problem.

I beleive he is just skiping the 15th due to the technical problems.

For the aid of those who aren't as bored as I am:

The most up to date translation guide. Though Dan says it's incomplete due to some exceptions not appearing in the comic yet.
