Sprite comics

What is the general take on sprite comics? For instance, is your opinion that they ALL suck, are all GREAT, or that original creations + high quality, though in sprite-form, deserve praise more than ripped sprites. Or whatever other qualifications you can think of.

Just trying to test the waters here, so I'd be thankful for your opinions.
