: Anthology of top drawer cartoonists and one page of Hogan

Steve Hogan
Just figured I'd help plug LEGAL ACTION COMICS 2. It's an anthology of comics that (Sorta) benefits cartoonist/illustrator Danny Hellman in his legal battle with cartoonist/columnist Ted Rall. (You can get the lowdown on the whole stupid mess here: http://www.speranzastudios.com/freedirtydanny/ ) Mostly it's a great excuse to get a bunch of artists together for a big fat anthology of alt/underground comix. It includes names like Art Speigelman (Maus), Tony Millionaire (Sock Monkey, Maakies), Sam Henderson (Magic Whistle, SpongeBob Squarepants), Carol Lay (Story Minute, Wonder Woman:Mythos) etc etc... plus page 151 is by the guy who does ACID KEG.

It's all outrageous, funny and a little obscene At 288 pages for 18.95 it's a steal.
You can find the full press release here:

nice. how did you get hooked up LAC, steve-o?

Steve Hogan
Danny's artwork for BRUTARIAN and NY PRESS had been an influence of mine and I had been supportive of him on the message boards. When I'd posted a question about contact info for a publication, he emailed me to offer help. After checking out my site he offered me a shot to be in the next edition. (The first was heading to the printer's at the time)

This was all three years in the making though, so you can see why I enjoy the immediacy of webcomics...

Steve Ince
Three years. Has your work changed much in that time?

Steve Hogan
I mean the book was 3 years in the planning. The piece I contributed I did late last year. My style has changed a little over the past 3 years, but not a lot.
