"how many different guilds are there here?" asked Mikina, "is there one for every class?"

RE: We're Not Alone [Open, Epic]

Sir Twain looks a bit puzzled but replies, “Well the Merchant class seems to have a firm foot hold but I don’t see many Nobles or Commoners milling about the camp so I guess not all classes are here. As for the various guilds there is one representing Mages, Fighters, Woodsmen, Archers, and the Mercenaries are over there.” He says pointing to each in turn. "Is that what you ment?"

(Character Class is more of a player term than something a character would actually use in my opinion, it just sort of ruins the mood when a player asks a guard "What class are you?")

Favarin frowns slightly, "If I may give an observation. It's my experience that when a very large group tries to make negotiations with anyone it seems to always be harder for the negotiators. It makes the party being negotiated feel cornered...I think that Twain and I are more than sufficient to convince any of these guilds, if any of them are to be convinced, to band together. Perhaps you others could go and scout the area and see if there are any places around the town that might be a weakness? I'm sure there are a thousand if there's one...and they'll need to be found before the town can be said to be safe."

"Logical point Favarin, don't want them to think we are trying to bully them."

RE: We're Not Alone [Open, Epic]

[Outside Front of Fighters Guild: Twain, Favarin, and Darwin.]
Yep, you've arrived.  Unlike the mages, they don't have fluffy pillows or fancy rugs.  Heck, the fighters even seem to be bunking multiple people per tent.  They do seem to have a cafeteria tent, and not far from that, a larger tent they probably use for meetings, and when there isn't a meeting, probably for speaking for representatives, as it's the only tent that seems to have any sort of frill to it.
They seem to have made sure to make enough room for a court yard area.  The guild seems to be holding drills in the courtyard.  Several different types.  Some are running, some are practicing sword fighting, some are practicing formation, etc.

    [Main Gate: Mikina and Raven]
The Main Gate.  It's made of wood.  It's probably actually the weekest point in the walls, as they can't put a Wall of Force augmentation on it.  If it were broken down, it would leave quite the hole, too, considering is 30'x30' in size.  It's also about 1' in thickness.  It's connected to Walls of Stone, those stone walls having the Wall of Force augmentation.

    [The Mages Guild: Shelna]
The apprentices eyes widen at the blade.  "I-I'm sorry for d-doubting you, Conjuerer Morningflower," he says, stuttering in his suprise at Shelna's pressence.  "One musn't be too careful.  I had to make sure.  I will take you to the currently available Concil member," He says, coming out from behind his desk to lead her further into the Mage tents.

Sir Twain seems more assured and relaxed as he walks into the fighter’s camp, looking around he nods to the various formations and combat exercises with approval. “With this kind of organization I’m surprised they weren’t already patrolling the walls.” He says to no one in particular.

Sir Twain stands with in full view of anyone in the court yard watching their exercises, it shouldn’t take to long for someone to approach and question his arrival. Looking back to the people who accompanied him, “This should go a lot smoother, the church of Torm has a long history with fighter guilds all across the land and the fighter’s have a good respect for Torm.” He smiles “I wouldn’t be surprised if they had a small shrine to him here along other gods of war and valor.”

"Its ok.  A lot of people think that I am not who I appear to be.  It doesnt really bother me that much."  She glances around the room to see if there is anything that she doesnt recognize.  Then she turns back to the apprentice.  "Do you know about anything that is going on with these golems or should I just ask one of the council members?  I just want to help out this town and get it back to the peaceful town it was.  It pains me to see such violence from a source that should be easily controlled."

Favarin nods to Twain's comment, looking around with the same satisfaction. He was never in any type of military, and the closest thing was hunting parties with his tribe in the north, otherwise he's been alone save a few months worth of company. He still knew organization when he saw it however, and he had a good mind for tactics, always being able to pick out a way of going about things and getting satisfactory results. He adjusts his axe and bow again to a comfortable postition and stands beside, "I don't know much of gods of war or valor...I do know that I like the company of fighters much more than the company of wizards however."

"this doesn't look too good.." said Mikina to herself. "a couple punches from a golem and this falls apart.."

Mikina looks around for the gatekeeper.

" There is not a thing thy could to to fix this gate in time. The only thing they could do to help protect the town is have a metal Gate. I could break this gate with 1 maybe 2 punches. I am A dragon you know. I got stuck in human form by a go I pissed off. I cant use very much if any of my magic in human form. The best thing to do I think Mikina is to get theMiniaturee and my self over here when the fighting starts you to could be of great help. tell the gatekeeper to put more people on this door." Raven says while studding the Gate for crakes and knots in the wood.

Darwin follows Twain and Favarin into the guild.  He looks to the fighters training and then to Twain, "It looks like they are getting ready for tonight.  I hope with the help of the mages, these fighters and any other guild here we can stand a chance against these golems."  Then Darwin begins to see how they fight and looks to see if they have any weak points in the fighting style they have.
A life, heh who needs one, I got it all here in RPing and video games.

RE: We're Not Alone [Open, Epic]

[The Fighters Guild: Twain, Favarin, and Darwin.]
One of the Commanders finishing up an exercise notices Favarin, Sir Twain, and Darwin.  Mostly Sir Twain.  He releases his men with a few words and a nod, then turning to walk towards Twain.  He wears light metal armor that mostly covers the front, and wields a tower shield and a long spear, as apropriate for a division of spear men.  He also has the appropriate frills to show his rank as a commander and the appropriate markings to show which division is his.  He has dirty blond hair and, interestingly enough, matching eye color.

"It's good to see a Paladin of Torm here.  Please tell me there are more coming, or are ya guys still spread thin thanks to the aftermath of the Mirage Wars?" he says.  He comes to a stop when he gets up to the group and holds his hand out to Twain for a handshake.  "The name is Lishnil Marks.  What's yours?"

Darwin, you gaze across the multiple teams as they preform menuvers, spars, and other such things.  The first thing you notice is that there are several different fighting styles.  Ontop of that, people of similar or the same fighting style are put into the same divisions.  They didnt' bring any trainees to something like this.  This is something you take Vetrans to, and that's what's here.  ...Let me put it this way:  They are more likely to find a flaw in your fighting style they it will be to find one in any of theirs.

    [Mages Guild: Shelna]
"Unfortunatly, I'm not one who is given such exclusive information, your highness.  I'll have to escort you to one of our available council members," he says.

[The Front Gates: Mikina and Raven]
It seems the Town's Guard was able to atleast put some of it's own men at the gate controls.  All you need to do is go over to up to them, as they need to stay at there post up in the Gate Watch.
